The Support Agency
This site has primarily been set up to help people come to
terms with losing loved ones in road crash deaths.
The aim is to develop a forum style help group
worldwide where all people who have been affected can help one another try and
come to terms with what has happened and where to go for advice on all matters
relating to road crash deaths.
My background I originally started volunteering with victim support in the
UK about 8 years ago in which I would go to see people who had suffered
assaults, burglaries, domestic violence, rape and murder.
While I worked on an unpaid voluntary basis for victim
support the UK
home office decided to fund a year long pilot scheme with the help of
Brake.org.uk. This involved two groups
one based in the Yorkshire area and the other based in Milton
Keynes. The reason for this
is that when a family is affected by a road crash it can effect the full family
situation and sometimes spilt the family up.
After funding dried up victim support pulled out of the
scheme and concentrated on crimes which is what they were originally set up to
do.
Brake, however still lobby to try and change the safety laws
on the UK
roads and have done and are still doing a fabulous job at this.
Thank you for reading

P.S this site is very new and still under construction
